Electrical Product Disposal

RECYCLING ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT

Electrical and electronic products should not be placed in general household waste. They may contain batteries, metals or other materials that can harm people or the environment if they are not handled correctly.

HOW TO DISPOSE OF AN ELECTRICAL PRODUCT

  • If the item still works, consider reuse, repair or donation.
  • Take unwanted electrical products to an authorised e-waste collection point or recycling facility.
  • Follow the recycling rules provided by your local authority or waste service.
  • Remove batteries where the product instructions allow and recycle them through an appropriate battery collection service.
  • Do not dismantle damaged, swollen or leaking batteries yourself. Ask a qualified local recycling provider for guidance.

The crossed-out wheeled-bin symbol on a product or its packaging means that the item requires separate collection. Recycling arrangements vary by country and region, so contact your local authority or a certified e-waste provider for the correct option in your area.
